Long Island's Jamal Olasewere has won the StatSheet NEC Player of the Week award for the week ending February 4th. StatSheet's NEC Freshman of the Week is Shivaughn Wiggins from Mount St. Mary's. And last but not least, Ousmane Drame from Quinnipiac is StatSheet's NEC 6th Man of the Week. Olasewere registered a strong showing in shooting (50%), scoring (17.5 pts per game), and rebounding (10.5 per game). The Long Island senior put these numbers up in a win against St. Francis (PA) and a loss to Robert Morris.

Olasewere posted 17 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes in a big 82-62 win against St. Francis (PA). He followed that up by leading the team in rebounding with 12 and an additional 57% shooting in a 60-57 loss to Robert Morris.

This is the first StatSheet NEC Player of the Week honor for Jamal Olasewere. However, he has been named a runner-up once and received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is St. Francis (NY) sophomore Jalen Cannon. Honorable mention goes to Alex Francis, a junior from Bryant. Adonis Burbage, who finished sixth, was the highest ranking player from Central Connecticut State.

StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week: Mount St. Mary's's Shivaughn Wiggins

Shivaughn Wiggins averaged 31 minutes as a starter for Mount St. Mary's. He led all NEC freshmen in scoring (15.0 pts per game), assists (3.5 per game), and free throws (7.0 per game). In a late 77-73 win over Quinnipiac, Wiggins led all scoring for the Mountaineers with 17 points and also pitched in 2 rebounds. Then in a 91-82 win against Sacred Heart, he added 13 points and 6 assists.

This is a new honor for Shivaughn Wiggins, the first time he has won StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week. De`Aires Tate from Sacred Heart gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Anthony White from St. Francis (NY).

StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week: Quinnipiac's Ousmane Drame

Ousmane Drame, a sophomore and a 6-9 forward, played an average of 25 minutes over two games for the Bobcats. In a 77-73 loss to Mount St. Mary's, Drame led all Bobcats in scoring and rebounding with 19 and 20 respectively. During a last-minute 74-69 win against Wagner, he racked up 13 points and 10 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week honor for Ousmane Drame. Booker Hucks, a senior forward from Long Island, is the runner up. Joe O`Shea, a sophomore guard from Bryant, receives honorable mention. Terrell Allen finished 4th and was the highest ranking 6th man from Central Connecticut State. Central Connecticut State has won the StatSheet NEC Player of the Week award once this season.
